Embodied Life Seminar "Embodiment and Beyond: Wholeness, Sacredness and Wonder in Everyday Life"
Bern, Switzerland (Phönix)
Dear Friends,
"Let the Beauty that you Love Be what you do"
Rumi
Wholeness is natural when our thoughts, feelings, body sense and the outer environment are in harmony. This state called "integration" arises through embodied awareness.
When awareness is whole, we can perceive with wonder the sacredness and exquisite beauty of the world. How do we grow this kind of awareness?
Awareness is a gift that can be cultivated through the flexibility and mobility of attention. When we PAUSE - stepping out of our preoccupations and internal dialogue - we can enter the magic of freshness and ever-present beauty. Like children, the world comes alive as we perceive the living quality in all things!
In this short seminar, we will introduce reliable ways of "cleansing the doors of perception". Freshly perceiving life's gifts, we find that the sacred often spontaneously appears. Finding this freshness transforms our relationships to others and to everyday life.
Our time together will include: Guided Meditations, Movement practices based in Feldenkrais, Standing movement gestures, Awareness practices and Conversation.
We hope you will join us for this richly textured journey into awareness, beauty and the sacred.
Linda and Russell Delman
When we awaken to the call of Beauty, we become aware of new ways of being in the world. - John O'Donohue
"In all Embodied Life Retreats we work with three main forms: sitting and walking meditation, Feldenkrais® movement lessons and Guided Inquires. The meditation is based in the Zen practice of "just sitting", the movement lessons are gentle, brilliant explorations of Awareness Through Movement®, based on the work of Moshe Feldenkrais, and Guided Inquiry which includes a variety of awareness practices based in the Focusing work of Eugene Gendlin.
